At Studio B, we encourage you to get involved in volunteering, whoever you are.
We run a host of projects around the city giving volunteers an outlet for their creativity and a chance to contribute to our charitable aims. If you’ve got skills, we’ll use them, and if you’ve had no work experience, we’ll give you some. All it takes is a little time & effort, in a role to suit you.
The Linguistic Assistant role is to assist with the compilation of an advanced (phrase-based) digital mini-thesaurus (covering the most common few thousand words in the English language), for Project English. This volunteering opportunity involves mainly the technical analysis & reporting of synonyms. No experience is necessary, but ideally you’d have an excellent command of basic English grammar and correct phraseology etc, and a dynamic vocabulary too.
